How to increase the ROI of your next party.

Originality - Doing something a little different than your company has ever done before can help add to the excitement.  I have dozens of ways to make your event unique while still maintaining a high degree of professionalism.
Giveaways - If you have the ability to have some door prizes, or giveaways, you will greatly increase both attendance and interaction of your guests. People love to win things. It could be company logo items, movie tickets or a fa-hab-ulous trip for two to Hawaii. Be sure to ask me about the unique ways I can have people win prizes. This is sure to get everyone involved.
Planning - The events that are the most fun don't  "just happen" by accident. Dedicate the time and resources necessary to ensure a successful event.  I am one of the few DJ's that will actually include unlimited consultations at no additional charge.

Your company is having a party, and you are in charge of hiring the entertainment / DJ. You may be concerned that your choice will have a direct effect on you as an employee of the company. After all, YOU have been given the job. It is up to YOU to make sure it is done right and to everyone's expectations.

This is also true if YOU are the boss and you are hiring the entertainment / DJs for your employees or clients for a special event. For instance what will your boss or employees think if the DJ you hire is not what was expected? What will the everyone think if the DJ you hire costs too much and isn't very entertaining?

How much money will be wasted if the guests want to leave early?

Why didn't the boss give more specific instructions? OK that last one was just for fun, but I have talked to many people who say they are just gathering information. They know nothing about the budget, or what the expectations of the boss or guests are.

Time for a quick quiz - You have been tasked with finding the entertainment for your next company function. You make a few phone calls and find out:

DJ Company #1 quotes $495 for 4 hours

DJ Company #2 quotes $999 for 5 hours

DJ Company #3 quotes $1500 for unlimited time

DJ Company #4 prefers to meet before quoting a price

WHICH COMPANY DO YOU CHOOSE! Relax! I can help.

The answer is simple. The one that offers the best value for your money!

Here is the tricky part. Which DJ is the best value?

Well it all depends on what you are "really" looking for. You may just need a human with a few CD's and a sound system. In that case go for the cheapest. Or, you may need an average DJ for an average event. In that case go for the medium priced DJ that you have met and like the best.

Maybe you may want to make sure that everyone has an exceptional time and that they will remember that event as a LOT of fun! In that case you will probably want to hire someone that you trust will provide an above average performance, and above average service.

How can you guarantee that you have chosen the right DJ for your event?

Make sure that your DJ volunteers to meet with you and the party planning committee in person (if geographically possible) and offers suggestions from his/her many years of experience to help make your event a huge success. Sometimes you may think you just want a DJ to play music, however after meeting a quality entertainer and sharing ideas, you may find that you can turn an ordinary gathering with music into a extraordinary, successful and FUN company function that is credited to you!
